Frequently asked questions

Is rating anonymous?

Yes, to the public. Your name is never asked for or shown. To stop abuse (one person rating 50 times) we keep a random device ID and a scrambled version of your network address with each rating. See the privacy policy.

Do I need an account?

No. You can rate straight away, and you can update your rating later from the same browser.

Why can't I rate a talk yet?

Rating opens when the session starts, so people rate talks they've seen rather than titles they've read.

My conference or talk is missing.

Add it. A moderator approves it, usually within a day. Organizers can send the full programme and we'll import it.

I'm a presenter. Can I delete bad reviews?

No, but you can reply to any review in public once your profile is verified, and you can report reviews that break the guidelines. We remove those quickly.

I'm a presenter and want my profile removed.

Use the removal form. We handle requests within 15 working days and will ask for reasonable proof that you are the person concerned.

Is it free?

Yes, for attendees, presenters and organizers.

How are scores and rankings calculated?
